Winter Carnival McCall Idaho

We took off for the weekend to mom's for Winter Carnival. This year was a fairy tail theme. Lots of dragons around town. The snow sculpture below was my favorite. Kind of Lord of The Rings-ish!

The boys had fun walking through the alive trees with a big castle in the center of the forest.

Dustin's favorite part was testing out the snowbikes! The men took off Saturday afternoon to go for a ride. (Rob, Dustin, Lane and friend)

The kids liked the Saturday mornign paraide because they through out lots of candy which most of it we left at grandma's! Look at Andrew's grin....there was a nascar in the paraide!

They collected lots of candy and necklaces. There were three slides that were part of the snow sculpures this year so the boys were loving it. McCall was with grandma for the slides!

This was candy land! Really cool!

The kids really enjoyed walking on the squares and acting like game pieces.

McCall decided to put on Jackson's whole drawer full of pull-ups! Shortly after thsi we potty trained her.

Christmas In Hurricane

Before making it all the way to Hurricane for Christmas we stopped at the family cabin for a little winter fun. We ice skated, sled, and cook up some good food. We spent Friday night in SLC with Dannene's family and then made it to the cabin a day before everyone else. Shawn's family came with Grandma & pa and arrived Monday afternoon. Dannene's family just made it at about 2a.m. Tuesday morning.

The boys really liked playing with the pool table in the cabin, McCall did too!

We arrived to Hurricane Tuesday late afternoon and kicked back until the rest of the crew arrived. Christmas Eve we tried to catch the Toquerville outdoor play but it was closed that night due to rain. Instead we went to see the lights at the St. George temple and walked through the visiter center. In front of the temple they had a gaint nativity scene with speekers playing the story of Jesus's birth taken from the Book of Luke.

The boys woke up to find that Santa had found them at Grandma's. The night before we sprinkled glittered oats over grandma's pourch, that Andrew had brought home from church, to feed Santa's raindeer. The frst thing in the mornign Andrew, along with Jackson, ran outside to see if the oats were gone, and of cource they were. They also found two scooters infront of their stockings. Months afterwards, Andrew wishes he could have told Santa what he wanted. He says he never got a chance to tell him this year. So I took it he wasn't too impressed with his Scooter!

This was Dustin's attempt to get a picture of the kids right after church all by himself. Lets just say that all four of them came in crying!

A Visit to Hollywood

Dustin and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary at Universal Studios, Disneyland & California Adventures. We had a lot of fun. After Universal we stayed a night at an old friends house in Hollywood Hills. I have known Lydia since 6th grade. A neighborhood friend introduced us the summer before staring 6th grade at Imperial Middle School. We have stayed friends for years and even went on a Senior trip together to Hawaii. Madonna's little palace up in the hills.

Lydia married Ed who's family has a similar background to her's, their parents were both immigrants to the USA.

Christmas Party's

We went to our ward Christmas breakfast and ate a breakfast potato casserole, oranges and Costco muffins! Later, after a shepard read the Christmas story out of Luke, Santa Clause showed up and handed out candy canes with an ornament wrapped around it.

Mommy had to bring a casserole early to the church Saturday morning so Dustin brought the kids over later. He dressed the kids and had them to the church by 9am. Dustin did good with the red and white stripe action with McCall. The hair could use a little work!

My mommy and daddy came down to Boise a week before Christmas and brought their presents for us and the kids.

Jackson saw Santa twice this year. Santa came to his preschool and the parents were invited.

Take #2

I helped out at Andrew's school for the Christmas party. They had three tables with 8 kids each. Snack table, games, and craft. I was in charge of a game so I looked online and found this cute relay race. They had to pick up peanuts with a spoon and run them to a stocking that was hung up on the other side of the room. The first to fill the stocking won. They really enjoyed it.

Grangeville For Thanksgiving!

We had a good time in Grangeville and eat and eat all the traditional foods along with our families traditional hominy casserole. We watched movies out in their half court basketball gym and danced and played a little ball.

Grandma wants to update her wall will current family pictures so we came prepaired to have a family photo session! It when pretty smoothly. A little cold but we survived.

One our way home from Grangeville we stopped off in McCall and found our Christmas tree with the Cazier family.

McCall didn't have much luck walking around in that snow outfit!

Andrew decided he wanted a tiny tree for his room and they found a perfect one crowding two smaller ones.

Annual Thanksgiving Feast with Bledsoe's and Gerratt's

6th Annual Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner with dear friends!

We had a wonderful evening with delicious food. Everyone brought their specialties. The Gerrett's always bring the best turkey! Rebecca cooks up the best yams ever!! We love this holiday tradition with these two beautiful growing families! Look at all the kids now!

The adult boys are hard at work cleaning the playroom. We left the kids to play and enjoyed our meal and when we took a peak in the playroom....every toy that I think we own was out and all the puzzles were out of the boxes and all the games and their pieces! Ya, the kids I think had a blast! The boys were so helpful and jumped right in trying to piece everything back together. It was cute to see them on their hands and knees cleaning!
