Halloween Saturday

Halloween this year was on Sunday so we celebrated on Saturday. The church put on a trunk-or-treat to encourage trick-or-treating on Saturday. The Osmondson's were there (Andrew's good friend from our old neighborhood). Again Andrew was a Cub Scout and not an Army guy. Later that night he would change into his army guy costume. We did not get any pictures though :(

I got to bring paper plates and napkins to Jackson's Halloween party at the school. I dressed as a witch and McCall wore one of the bear costumes that the boys wore two years ago and that their daddy wore almost 30 years ago! Thanks Danna for the costume handmedowns.

Then next was Andrew's Party. They had lots of fun doing a craft, playing a game, and decorating and eating a sugar cookie shaped like a pumpkin. Andrew had a cool army costum but wanted to be a cub scout instead! He has had two den meetings and is loving it. He mostly likes to pass off things in his book and looks forward to Pack meeting when he will be earning badges.

Apple muffins I made for Andrew's party that I think no one ate! They were all served on their plates and I think they all ended up in the trash! My kids loved them at home but with all the sweet tooths that day they probably tasted pretty bland. A licorice ping pong ball game.

Dustin and I came up with these costumes for the Annual Elder's Quorum Halloween party. We did the traditional eat a donut from a string and pop your opponent's balloon tied to their ankle. Megan Randstrum won again!!! Third year in a row!

I wanted to get a shot of the house for Zaylie's baby book so Dustin took the kids outside real quick and took these.

Andrew's 8th Birthday Party

Andrew wanted a friend birthday apart from his family party over the weekend so we threw him a last minute party on a Monday with a 5 day notice. He invited some old school friends and some new school friends. We palyed Minute To Win It games. Candy Elevator, Loner, Noodling Around, Face the Cookie, and Defying Gravity. No one was able to get Candy Elevator -

Tie two pencils together with string leaving several feet of string free. Put three m&m's on the pencils. Place string over ears and use hands to pull strings lifting pencils up to face. If m&m falls off put back on and try again. You have one minute.

The favorite game was Face the Cookie. Place a cookie on your forehead and use only your facial muscle to get the cookie to your mouth!

Andrew wanted a lego cake. He must have really like Jackson's from two years ago!

Photo Shoot With Zaylie

Brandy took these on my bed at night. Pretty good for crappy lighting and only a few minutes of time with them. They were on their way home from Las Vegas for Joel's Optometry convention. I picked them up from the airport Sunday afternoon and they were anxious to get home to the kids so they hung out enough to eat and take a few shots of Zaylie.
