Brook's Birthday

I had a great birthday, Dustin surprized me with a birthday party with lots of friends and good snacks.

My cake was awesome. Dustin discribed my racket to Casey Conley, who started a cake business, and told here to create something to do with tennis.

The Killers

This was definitely the highlight of our month, apart from me turning 33! Dustin was reunited with two old high school friends whom happen to be apart of the Killers. Ronnie, the drummer, and Lisa, Ronnie's wife. Dustin was in a band called Go-Go-13 and Ronnie was in the band Atta-boy Skip. They attended the same school and knew a lot of the same people through their band connection and school. The Killers were here in concert and Dustin knew Brandon Flowers' cousin so we got hooked up with free tickets and the lead singer's cousin, Justin ask if Ronnie would like to hook up with Dustin after the show. So needless to say we were escorted backstage with the band after the show and ended up talking with Ronnie and his wife for a long time. We even took them out on the town and checked out their tour bus! So cool. We spoke with Brandon several times in our hour backstage. Dustin commented afterwards on Brandon's thick Utah accent!




We had a Luxury Suite Box. We stayed there for the opening acts then we headed down to our sweet front row seats!

Halloween Preview

We have made the boys costumes ever year and this year we splurged because they new exactly what they wanted to be and it's not something I was willing to make!

Redfish Lake

In February I tried to book a reservation at a campsite near Redfish Lake and they were booked. When the summer was coming to an end we realised we never made it to Redfish Lake so we decided to drive up for the day. It's about a three hour drive. We left in the morning and returned home in time for bed. It was actually very fun. I love that lake for the little kids. The lake is shallow for about 100 feet so there is so much play area in the water for the kids. They loved it. We rented a paddle boat and paddled far enough to see the beatiful Sawtooth mountains.

Rock wall in Hurricane, UT

We went to Hurricane for Labor day weekend and went to the local Peach Festival they have every year. Andrew and Jackson both attempted the rock wall. There were bounce houses and a stage with a band and some other expensive festival activities. Andrew was bribed into trying to reach the top. The lego set offered to him if he touched the red button at the top was never awarded:(

We attempted to potty train McCall again after 6 months. She is now 2 1/2 and this time I think it will work great. We had a big potty party for her and the first part of the day she trained the doll then after nap time it was her turn. When the day was over she was awarded a barney sing-a-long video, a microphone, and little mermaid underpants.

Grandma & pa came for a visit and they sat in on the bedtime routine, scriptures, prayer, one-two-three (we hold hands in a circle and say 1-2-3-4 families are forever, then we all give each other hugs and say I love you. After that I read the kids some books then they hit the sheets.
