The new Oquirrh Temple in Utah

After a fun two days in Park City and visiting Pioneer Village we also timed it just right to catch the last week of the Oquirrh temple open house. The temple is beautiful and mostly tile throughout the whole thing. There we all kinds of people going through to see and learn what takes place inside the temple walls. Beautiful paintings of Christ on the walls through out and plaques describing the covenants that are made in the different rooms after the dedication has taken place.

Pioneer Village SLC, Utah

At Heritage park you can explore what it was like to be a pioneer in the 1800's. The kids learned how to pump water from a well and water the garden. They learned how to pound designs into leather. They saw how they lived and the animals they took care of. We had a great time with grandma and grandpa Blad.

Andrew was scared of the canon and wanted to leave the area before it went off. He liked when they shot off the candy canon thought!

Park City Utah

The weekend before heading off to Park City we took the kids to eat by Edwards theater. In the center complex area there was this iron man! The kids got a big kick out of him.

Then off to Park City. Dustin was giving a presentation to all the Beehive Homes owners across the states here at this hotel in Park City. He has been working on a new website that will be the main website for all the individually operated locations. He gave a thirty minute presentation on the development of the site and its use for their home. The hotel had an awesome pool that we got to hang out in while waiting for Dustin. He presented on Thursday and then answered questions on Friday. We had the rest of the afternoon to explore Park City together then we were off to meet up with Dustin's parents in SLC.

Park City was having an event at Park City ski resort. All kinds of fun, toboggan rides, roller coaster, bungee cord jumping and the kids chose the bounce house, partly because of the long lines and because of cost!

I let the kids buy a big piece of fudge at the Chocolate Factory.

Parker busted out all the hats that were in a bin in Chritian's office. Yo Gabba Gabba hats, AquaBat hats, some of the gabba hats a grandmother stitched...cute huh?

Dustin hooked up with Parker while we were in Anaheim, CA and he invited us over to the Yo Gabba Gabba office. We saw where Christian and the gang come up with all the crazy ideas. Their offices were pretty cool. They were not filming so we did not go to the studio were they film. They had just moved a lot of the props from the office too that we could have seen.





Jackson and Andrew were able to ride the skateboards that the characters use on teh showes.

The kids were able to site infront of the charaters that are brought out in a boom box at the beginning of each show. They are the original molds. The kids touched a few of them with Parker holding them. It made me very nervous because McCall wanted to keep picking them up. We took a quick picture then closed it up.

DisneyLand

After our nice family reunion in the beach house we headed our seperate ways and Shawn and his family and Grandpa and Grandma Blad headed for DisneyLand. We followed and payed for it...out of our pockets! No discount tickets this time...last minute thought. We must not have broke out the camera much for this...but there is a lot on our video camera .

LEGO LAND .. Waahoo

LegoLand was awesome this year. The kids are into Legos big time this year and Jackson was tall enough for some rides this time. We just missed the Star Wars exibit that was there just two days before.

There is an area of the park called MiniLand that is crazy. Every building you see behind Jackson is made out of legos. They added Las Vegas to MiniLand this year. It was pretty cool. They had a NASCAR scene where you could race cars.
