First snow fall

Zaylies first time eating. She liked it but lapped it up like a dog. It was gerber apple sauce.

Our first hard snow fall. It dumped on us and the boys and I shoveled and shoveled.

Hurricane riding

We brought our bikes down with us and took rides around the property then Saturday on our last day there we went riding near their house. Zaylie took naps in the car and the boys rode on fun trails. McCall collected bullet shells with Bronson and Lukas.

Andrew on the 50

  Jackson on the 50. I had to brib him to take a few spins. Last time on the bike he took several spills and I think he was timid to get back on. I told him I would give him 50 cents. After showing him a cool figure 8 path I couldn't get him off.

They did take a long brake from riding to do some red rock climing and battling

McCall's bullet shell collection. She was sad to find that we did not get home with her bag of shells and red dust. I threw them out at Grandma's and hoped that she did not remember. She did ask about them on the drive back home and I told her we left them at grandma's and would get them when we went back.

The boys thought the place we call "The Narrows" was pretty cool.

Zaylie and I didn't try going all the way.

Thanskgiving in Hurricane

Great Grandpa Blad and girl friend  cracking pecans for the salad and yams.

I was showing the dead turkey to the boys. Jackson was very curious.

This year we decided to spend the whole Thanksgiving week in Hurricane. The kids had a full week off of school so we headed out. The drive was going smooth until we hit 20 miles North of Beaver and the road closed. We were backed up for miles. We made due and were doing just fine watching a movie on the I pad. I busted out ham crackers and cheese for dinner. After the movie the kids were getting restless and we started to move going only 35 miles an hour. Jackson told us he wasn't feeling good and we were getting frustrated with the kids and just told him to settle down back there. He vomited a few minutes later. We were stuck on the highway with only a few babywipes to clean up. I did my best then a few more miles he vomited again. It took us two hours to go 20 miles when the road finally opened 2 hrs later. After vomiting a third time to the side of the walmart sack we gave him which ran down the seat right under Andrew's bottom, we had just had it. I could only think to myself that I was glad I was not a pioneer and Jackson was dying of some disease and we were walking in this snow 20 miles with frozen toes. I am so thankfull for healthy children and for a home and cars to get us to see family.

McCall's Thanksgiving Feast

McCall's preschool group had a Thanksgiving Feast at our house the week that I taught. Parents came that last 15 minutes to share the feast with us. We had fruit snacks, grapes, carrots, and cheese squares.

Crazy Kids

The kids disappeared for a while in their rooms and then came out looking like this!

I asked what they were doing and they said they were the baby cowboy team!

Andrew's Baptism Day

Andrew said that his baptism wasn't what he expected. I asked him why and he said there were a lot of people there!

Andrew's good friend (Stephen) from church and 2nd grade class came all the way to Caldwell for his special day. Stephen has until next July before he's eight and his parents thought it would be good for him to see Andrew's baptism.

Andrew was concerned about when to put on the baptismal clothing.

This was pretty neat to have a baptism with a cousin.
