Joel Meets Zaylie

Joel had not yet seen Zaylie so when he came to Boise for a quick stay he met her for the first time.

The kids loved hanging with Uncle Joel.

Jackson dressed up like a grandma to say hi to Zaylie as she slept.

I was really bumped that I could not find anything but a blue hat for when Zaylie was born that when I did I had to get a picture of her in it.

9 Years and Growing

I have known these ladies for 9 years now. We met in a student ward at BSU and all but one of us has stayed in the area. The Francis' moved to California years ago and have came back often to visit and whenever they are in town we make an effort to get together.

These boys just have so much fun. Aren't they cute!

Our group is multipying quickly. From 8 to 18 in nine years.

Derek was in town by himself for basketball camp and was the first in his family to see the baby! Brandy had been at girls camp that week and didn't even know if the baby was born yet or not.

Donna and Lois came on the 19th to hang out and see Grandma while she was home.

We met up at Lance's to visit with Danna and Lois and have a little party for Cynthia's 37th Birthday. Aren't they just the cutest? I love my mom and dad!Zaylie only 4 days old.

Our Newest Arrival

All three of the kids were anxious to hold the baby.

Rose and Ian the midwifes. They were awesome!!

This is the midwife Rose. She was great. She is weighing Zaylie on day 3 and she was 7 lbs 8 oz.

Grandpa Lindy gave Zaylie her fist bath July 18th 3 days old. She would scream during her fist few baths then she started liking them.

This birth was different than all the others. We decided on a home birth when we were about 12 weeks along. A friend of ours had just had a home birth and had a wonderful experience. I had always had midwives but in a hospital. When I found out I could do it at home and had a friend who could recommend someone I was all over it.

Right after Zaylie came out I thought I heard Andrew so Grandma went to get him but he was still in bed. (Grandpa was in McCall but would be there later that morning) Right after the placenta came out I heard Andrew walking around. He came in and sat by my bed and we showed him the baby. We asked him what he thought it was. Boy or girl. At first he said boy because he saw the cord. Then I covered up the cord and told him to look again.

Shortly after Andrew came in McCall came in reluctantly and saw the baby then Jackson. They all wanted to hold her and did not want to leave when it was time to get them out of the house. Grandma took them to the swimming pool and I guess the kids gave her a hard time and didn't want to be there.
