Jackson had a fun year with his preschool friends. Everyone was that same from last year except one, Lance. Jackson improved a lot towards the end of the school year. He has an interest in reading and can sound out lots of words. He can write all the letters in the alphabet. He is excited for kindergarten and to be riding the bus with Andrew.
The Wolfe's have been our good friends for many years and one of Dustin's first and best clients. They helped support us through the last part of Dustin's college years and through the start of his business and now. We frequently get together for dinner and here is Jeff entertaining the boys with some golf tips.
We went to Garrett's graduation party at their house in June. They had the setup....huge slices of bread and tons of different shredded meat to put on it. It was very tasty.
The boys always get out Jackson Wolfe's legos when we go there and this time Jackson said he doesn't play with then any more and offered them to the boys! The boys were so excited. They brought home a big box of legos. Before they could play with them they had to clean the whole playroom.
Andrew played on the Boise Capitol's Soccer team this spring with coach Charley and Coach Dustin. Their team was called the Kamikazes. He really enjoyed it. Dustin was a really good assistent caoch and Charley was exellent with the kids. This is their after soccer party at PoJo's. They had trophies for all the kids and big fat cupcakes from Costco. We ordered pizza and bought tokens for the kids to play games. It was a lot of fun. All our soccer pictures are on the video camera. Andrew was never goalie, because he didn't want to try it, and he never scored a goal but came close on the last game. He did really well passing and staying with the ball.
We went to the store then decided to come relax at Carl's Junior to pass some time by. McCall finally made it to the top and down the slide. She has never attempted to go that high even with the boys offering to help.
Bought some used gear for the boys and pants and gloves for McCall. We are ready to ride this summer! Below is our first trip of the spring.
Our family sport for the last few years has been dirt biking. Dustin has been into it for many years now. I took over Dustin's old bike several years ago when Dustin thought it was time for a cooler bike. In November of '09 he came across a deal from a friend that he just couldn't pass up for a used KTM '07. For a while there we had three adult bikes! Ya, just in time for our move back into our old house! In February we finally sold my Yamaha '04 and Dustin's Honda '05.
Jackson on the Wilkey's 50 just crusing along. I think he went on that same big track in a circle about 50 times before stopping.
This spring we added a swing set to our backyard. Right now it is sitting in Lane's backyard. This has been their swing set for 12 years and they were getting rid of it so they asked if we would like to take it way for them! The kids have really enjoyed it. They spend way more time outside and don't ask to go to the park as much.
I invited ourselves over to Lance's for Family night to make cards for Mom and Dad on their mission. We made cards for Mother's day, Father's day and for their birhtdays, May 24th and June 4th. The older kids came up with some real creative cards with the paper I brought. And the little girls got real creative with dress up! Cynthia gave a quick lesson on temples and the service that mom and dad are doing over in Veracruz Mexico. Then we had a BBQ! It was very nice.
We heard the news that Baskin Robins was celebrating 25 years and serving 25 cent ice cream cones so we headed over for the action.
A trip to the Eagle Library. The kids thought this statue was pretty cool. They are reading with the bronse kids.
She can be girlish and boyish at the same time. From princess to fireman or both. Usually she is in some kind of princess wear playing light sabers with the boys!
McCall has fun pretending to read my books.
Jackson and McCall went outside on the tramp to play baby with their stuffed animals, which they often do, and McCall actually fell asleep. Jackson came in after about 25 minutes and McCall continued sleeping for another 30. She was crying when she woke up because Jackson had gone inside without her.
McCall had fun stacking things ontop of her sleeping daddy.
He actually slept thrpugh most of it!
This is proof that we did have some nice weather in April which prompted me to start my garden. We actually planted too and since then it has been so cold. We have had to cover our plants every night with a tarp. I hope they last!
