California Here We Come

Oh the memories of Huntington Beach. Lots of time spent here with youth groups, friends, late night bond fires, after a stake dance hanging out...I love this beach.

This is the pier, we went out late one night after kids were in bed and took a walk on the beach with just Dustin, Shawn, Jess and I.

Andrew Survived Kindergarten

We did not get good pictures of his Kindergarten celebration. Someone else took these pictures for me while video taped. Andrew did good. He was really shy of course but he did all the hand movements to the songs. When he went to get his certificate at the front of the stage he he was light a dart. Head down, grabbed cerificate, shook hand for a milisecond and darted off stage. Most kids walked up there and looked at the teacher in the eyes and shook or even hugged the teacher. Andrew just dreads this kind of thing!

This picture was totally forced. We made him stand next to his teachers and take a quick picture. He loved having Mrs. Gormley for a teacher and he loved Brook looking after him on the playground and in class.

Bowling

I have a lot of memories bowling with my grandmother. I love to take the kids an remember those days of her teaching me.

McCall must have loved bowling. She sang the whole time.

and continued singing.

The boys' passion this year had been starwars. Can't beat garage sale Starwars books!

Special May Events

We started off the month with the annual Father's and Sons camp out. This is Jackson's second year being able to go. Our rule is if you are potty trained and a boy you get to go.

Then we had mother's Day. We started off with a wonderful breakfast, then church where they handed out calorie free chocolate bars! Dustin wouldn't let me lift a had to any dishes that day...ya it was nice. What a man!

Then there was McCall and her crazy dancing...that's always intertaining.

Of course, Dad's Birthday. We went out Tuesday night to Mai Thai and had a little family party. Can't forget dad's all time favorite, Angel food cake with fresh strawberries.

Last but not least, Jackson graduated from Preschool. We had a fun year going on field trips and learing our alphabet. Mom taught every 7th week. We had 7 students 5 boys and 2 girls.

Easter Morning

I don't think Andrew is to convinced about the Easter Bunny but he plays along anyway.

Jackson and McCall found skateboards when they woke up and Andrew found the scripture version of Guess Who thanks to Brandy. Brandy and family were here and we had Talia and Clayton on Saturday. Brandy picked up something for me at Deseret Book and also bought Talia and Clayton lego sets. We hide easter eggs and put lego pieces in them. Each kid was assigned a color and when they found all the eggs they were aloud to open them.

Then they spent the rest of the afternoon putting their cars/plane together.

McCall had a hard time waiting to eat her candy until after breakfast. Candy in bed?

Jackson's 4th Birthday Party

Jackson had a fun birthday party. He invited mostly his preschool friends and Scott and Lucas our favorite neighbors. We played the car maze race. We played pin the wheel on the state (a map of the U.S.). Jackson's favorite toy he got was his light saber. Of course Andrew had to have one as well so Grandma was talked into getting one te next day.

Grandma and Grandpa were in Bosie for the week to watch Lance's kids while they were in Hawaii so they brought Austin over to the party.
Jackson came to me one morning and said that McCall had put gum in his hair. Well Jackson had tried to pull it our himself and really got the thing stuck pretty good. I had to cut it out with the sissors. McCall did not get gum for a while after that.

McCall's Second Birthday!

We celebrated McCall's 2nd birthday by having a family birthday party. She loves tinker bell right now so everything was decorated with tinker bell.

I had left over cake batter so I made a small Lego cake is well in preparation for Jackson's birthday. All three of the kids will sit and play Legos for quite a while.She got a dress up doll from the Blad grandparents and a 9 piece block set that makes 8 different puzzles from the Hilton Grandparents, a tiny tinker bell purse from Jackson, tinker bell pony holders from Andrew, and a bathtub pets set from mom & dad.
